It connnenced public woi>iii|) in the Orange street Lecture lloom, on the first Salntath in September ; from whence, in June. IS. it re- moved to tlie Exchange Building: U'om tIkikc, again, hi September, 1836, to tlu^ liou^e ♦•rc-tLd for its worship in Church street; and tinaiiy, in Decem- ber, 1848, to its present liouse of worshi[) In C* allege street. Its tirst settled pastor. Rev. Hkxky G. Ludlow, was installed May 31, 1837. For several years prior to his coming to Xew IIa^'en, he ha<i ialH)red as pastor of the S[)ring street Church in Xew ^^.^k, having been installed there in lS*iO. lie was dis- missed from tlie pastoral care of this church, Marcli 8, 1842. The present pastor, Uev. Kdwakp Sii:n.\-<;, was ordaine«l December 14, ISl'J.
