Professing deep repentance for your sins, you do
now, in the presence of (rod and this assembly,
avouch the Lord Jeliovah to l)e your God — God
the Father to be your father and preserver — God
the Son to be your Savior and hitercessor — God
the Holy Sj)irit to be your sanctitier and comforter
— and the Word of God to be your only rule of
faith and practice: and you do give yourself away
to God in an everlasting covenant, to love him su-
premely, and your neighbor as yourself; to labor,
according to your ability, for Christ so long as you
live.
You do also faitlifully covenant that you will
walk with this Churcli in all the ordinances of
Christ, and hi love and charity with its members;
and will conscientiously labor to promote its purity,
peace, union, and edification.
