12 CONGREGATIONAL SINGING. 0 The whole ooDgrcgatioo is requested to unite in the ser- vice of song, aa well as in the service of prayer. Those who are infirm, will be excused if they retain their seats while the people praise the Lord, with Psalm or Hymn; but all who have sufficient physical Btrength, should con- form to the established custom, of standing up to sing. Indolence is a hindrance to devotion in ourselves, and a clog upon the worship of others.
