This flourishin«j and popuhir Societv has hccoine so well known, and its various interests are nou'so well understood and appreciated, that little besides a synopsis of the last Report need be appended. Fourteen boxes of clothinn- and hous(3iiold jirticU^s have been dis- tributed arnonif eleven Home Missionary families. Including; cash donations which have accompanied these, the estimated value thus disbursed has amounted to s:]! MJl.liO. Add to this, three Commun- ion sets, and part of another, Sabbath School Libraries, Hymn and other valuable books, and the donations of this Society for the past year may be stated at .^4r)00, while the value of " o;oods and gar- ments" remaining on himd, is somewhat larger than that with which they commenced the year. Tliese valuable results have been at- tained by an outlay in casii ot' sl/^J/.I'^. The donations of ready made garments, valuable even wb.en a little worn, enable the mana<2'ers so to economise their cash funds, that, with the work done by the Society, they become abl^j to ex- tend their care for those fimili'^s beyond the sup})ly ot' their merely physical wants, and by the addition of well-selected books for the Pastor and his fimily, they give to liis studies the etficient aid and to them the mental culture which they eagerly crave. Communion s(;ts, Sundav Siwiool Libnines ami Hymn Books, are also found to be such valu.ible accessions m the work of fostering feeble Churches, that this Society will continue to alibrd these de- sirable aids, accord inix •'^^ the Lord siiall prosj)er them tlirough the future beneticence of the Congregation whose almoners they are.
