VII.
Baptism
is
to be
ad:uinistered to unbaptized adults on

profession
of their faith in (Jhrist;

it
is the privilorre
of such
parents
as
are in covenant with God and
his Church,
to
dedicate
their infant children to God
in this ordinance.
VIII. Members of other Christian Churches, wiio
are
occasion-
ally present in our assemblies for worship, are to be invited to com-
mune
with
us
in
Christian
ordinances.
But
when
niembers
ot
other Churches, residing in the town of New [laven or
its imuiedi-
ate vicinity, join with usst it ?dly in
})ublic
worsliip, they are expect-
ed to enter into covenant with
tiiis Church,
reir-ularly, as members.
And
if for special
reasons, any such person
shall
desire
to
conj-
rnune with
this
Cliurch
for a

year, without

IX. Any member
of

one year after
the time of his

removal.
Any such
person
neglecting
to
ask for a dismission and recommendation as aforesaid, may be called
to account by the Cimrcii
in such a manner as may be deemed
ex-
pedient.
And
if any such person,
liaving been
thus admonished,
shall
persevere in
th it
ne:jlect
for
another
period of
six month:*,
without rendering s itisf ictory reasons fur so doing, then this Church
may, at its discretion, declare that such member hath broken Ins or

covenant
with

cliurch,
and
that
the
obligations
of the

Church to watch over that
